As levels progress, the pigs are sheltered by increasingly complicated structures made of several materials like wood, ice and rock.  By flinging the birds at the enemy, you’re trying to eliminate all the pigs in each level. Players use a slingshot to launch the birds hoping to hit the pigs directly or critically damage the structures, causing them to collapse and wipe out the pigs.
