Why Pets Matter
Owning a pet brings all kinds of joys and responsibilities with it. A dog can be an especially beneficial pet to a human being, and has earned his right to be called “man’s best friend.” Both dog and cat owners, and owners of any pets according to most studies, enjoy more meaningful lives and more productive, happy years later in life than people without pets.
Apps For Pet Lovers
Pet lovers are special people, and anyone who owns a pet knows good and well that nothing is too good for our furry little friends. Some people even let their cats play piano on their iPads, or let the pooch interact with eye catching apps on their iPhones, but this article is about apps that are helpful to pet owners rather than pets themselves. Apps that help with your pets cover a wide swath of topics from training tools to basic health care tips. I taught my Shih Tzu “sit” using a clicker app that was completely free. It’s nice to know that if you run into a sticky situation with your pet, help is…
Taking Care of Stray Kittens
It isn’t uncommon to see stray cats wandering around your neighborhood or hiding under your porch for safety, but what if they stay there for too long? Many times female felines need to find a safe spot to have their kittens and nurse them until they are strong enough to fend for themselves. That spot may end up being beneath your deck or in a crack under your shed and it is not an easy or safe task to try and get rid of them. No matter what, you need to make sure that the kittens are not harmed or estranged from their mother. If the mother does disappear, which can happen occasionally if she…

Which Angry Bird is Your Best Bud?
If you play Angry Birds (and we know you do!) then you’ll love this infographic explaining which of the birds is the most likable in the bunch. In Angry Birds, you are in charge of your own flock of multi-colored birds whose job is to retrieve eggs that were egg-knapped by a group of awful green pigs. As levels progress, the pigs are sheltered by increasingly complicated structures made of several materials like wood, ice and rock. By flinging the birds at the enemy, you’re trying to eliminate all the pigs in each level. Players use a slingshot to launch the birds hoping to hit the pigs directly or critically damage the structures, causing them to collapse and wipe out the pigs.

Caring for Baby Birds
After a violent storm with raging winds swept through our area, my husband, while walking our two dogs, came across to tiny birds that had been blown out of their nest it seemed. One looked very lethargic while the other was moving just a bit. They were so small that they could not walk or hop around, and they still had very few feathers. We decided it would be best to just let nature run its course and see what would happen. After about three hours, the baby birds were still there in our backyard with no mother bird around. Neither of us are familiar with caring for birds at all, so we definitely did not…
